"Those were the days my friend" song

A really historic City song:

Bless 'em all, Bless 'em all
Bert Trautmann, Dave Ewing and Paul
Bless Roy Little who blocks out the wing
Bless Jack Dyson the penalty king
And with Leivers and Spurdle so tall
And Johnstone, the Prince of them all
Come on the light blues
It's always the right blue
So cheer up me lads
Bless 'em all

Kick 'em all
Kick 'em all
Come on you Blues kick 'em all
If you see any red shite
then fucking well boot it
Come on you Blues kick 'em all!

and if you want a really historic City song, there was a clip on here last year of footage of the crowds in Manchester for the team's reception after one of our cup wins. I think it was 1934. There were a group of women singing a song, something like "They said City could never do it" or something.

we fought in france
we fought in spain
we fought in the sun
we fought in the rain
we've taken kops
we've taken sheds
but what we like best
is kicking in reds

na na na na .. blues
na na na na .. blues

(tune - stevie bruce elephant man)

My Uncle started singing this on the train to Hamburg last year. There was me our kid and few other under 30s who had no idea what he was on about so we replied with

Your songs are older than us
Your songs are older than us

I remember being in the Beehive at the last Maine Road derby game and the whole pub singing this with gusto!

Magic moments.

Can't do this simple one any justice by writing it, but always used to make my hair stand on end. We all used to do this in the Kippax whenever we got a corner and it was to simply shout:

"CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITY"

(basically shouting the "i" bit for as long as your lungs would let you) and it would get shorter and shorter (faster) until 14,000 Kippaxites would be absolutely baying the team on.

Also "I was born on Kippax Street" to the tune of "Wanderin' Star". "...Boots were made for kicking, trains were made for wrecking and if a red b4st4rd, you kick his f*ckin head in..."
