You need to let it go p.b.

The reason we are not top is because we are not good enough

Indeed. We were given hope in the first half of the season, but there is one TEAM better than us, and they're top. We may have better individuals, but we're not a better team yet.

You can't see that if City were awarded dodgy penalties and constantly playing against 10 men that they would easily be top?

or indeed take the dodgy pens off the rags and make them play 11 men. we'd be top then. or stop sending our players off for fuck all, let us play with 11 men and we'll stand half a chance.

I'm not sure if they are included. I'd have thought that they would be, given that they are debatable.

and thats because it doesn't matter, its not true to fact, could you imagine if a similar thing was done on here? The disclaimer at the beginning tells you all you need to know

DISCLAIMER – Please be aware that we are not trying to pass the REAL table off as fact, we are more than aware of certain flawed aspects, however, we would hope that everyone reading takes it in good nature and employs the imagination needed to enjoy a fun and unnusual take on the Premier League and refereeing decisions. If you take it too seriously, or mistakenely believe that we are taking it too seriously, you’re missing out.

Agreed. It can only be subjective. Everyone has a different view, so it will never be 100%.

OK, I don't believe in any agenda, but I didn't want to start a new thread to post this...

FA rejects Derry appeal
ESPNsoccernet staff

The Football Association has rejected Queens Park Rangers' appeal against the red card Shaun Derry received at Manchester United on Sunday.

Derry, 34, was handed his marching orders by referee Lee Mason in the 14th minute of QPR's trip to Old Trafford after an apparent foul on Ashley Young.

Replays, though, showed Young had strayed into an offside position, while Derry seemed to make little contact with the winger, who tumbled theatrically.

Mason deemed it a clear goalscoring opportunity and the linesman's flag remained down, meaning Derry was dismissed, and Wayne Rooney duly scored from the penalty spot to set United on their way to a 2-0 win.

QPR appealed the decision but, after reviewing the footage, the FA rejected the claim. The midfielder will now miss Wednesday's home meeting with Swansea.

An FA statement read: "Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry will serve a one match suspension with immediate effect after his claim of wrongful dismissal was rejected by a Regulatory Commission today [Tuesday 10 April].

"Derry was dismissed for denying a goalscoring opportunity in the Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday 8 April 2012."

Can ANYONE explain to my how the FA can choose to uphold this decision when it was OBVIOUS that Young was at least one yard offside? Baconface even admitted this in his post-match interview.

Is it simply the fact that the FA does not want to admit the wrong decision and so they feel that they must rule to uphold Derry's ban? Seriously, in a case like this my stomach turns because:

1) Young was CLEARLY offside
2) Young CLEARLY dove to make the most of Derry's challenge and win the spot kick.

Sickening, fellow Blues. Sickening. I guess the thing that makes this specific incident so disgusting to me is the fact that the sideline official was in impeccable position at the time the ball was played through to flag for offside. He was perfectly in line with Young as he released and there was nothing or nobody to impede his vision. UNREAL.

You can say whatever you want about us slipping up here in the end, and I won't deny that our form has dropped and we have not been playing as well of late, but it is amazing how much this year's point totals have been affected by decisions like this. Sickening...
