Thoughts on the Academy in City's Future

Re: What's the Point of the New Campus/Academy?

I think the cunts should be running up and down the steps of Colin Bell level 3. It never did Paul Lake any harm running up them Kippax steps.

As I seem to have taken the campus thread off track can I just add my thanks to jrb who has done a fantastic job for all blues with his photos .as city themselves have put very little out there themselves.

You are Lobby Lud, and I claim my Adrian Duram wind up prize.
Please give me a break from you negative thinking pal.
I was beginning to think it was just my imagination but every single post from this guy has a slight negative twist to it somewhere.
If he's an undercover rag or similar then hats off for getting over one thousand posts.
Sorry to disappoint you 49 year glory hunting blue .platt lane .kippax and now family stand.the fact we are tuning in to everything I despise about the rags inspired the original I'll advised rant .go have a look at the united thread its the same posters slamming the rags noodle/_tyre partner then patting city on the back for a sign on a bridge or getting a health partner.go on the chumps league thread how many people complain about tourists / half and half scarves sound like any other club ? The new hotel do you think it is aimed at working class local or £150 a pop tourists ? I think you can some it up before 2012 city somehow chose you but now its an easy option to attach yourself to something successful. Going to watch city was about the day out and the match was a n afterthought ,look at the match day thread on here a draw at QPR we want to sack the manager and have threads. Calling for the team to be broken up .notice how we never get beaten by a better team its the ref etc sound familiar ?I myself go to a game thinking its only stoke today arrogance that's what we hated about them wasn't it ?I will always want the best for city and the worst for the rags but it seems maybe we will stand for everything we hated them for sooner than what we think !
The biggest the best most income etc most fans .wouldn't it complete the cycle and the rags played York away !

In a lowsy mood and whats the first thing I do look at this link why ffs ! Why I really dont give a fuck if we have badges on a bridge a health partner a drinks partner a hotel etc etc the best training facilities in the world .you are either a good player that can be coached or a natural .the grass the ball s showers should make fuck all difference.I city didn't chose me to be an arrogent rag but that's what I feel I'm turning into where its all about winning and nothing else bragging about this that and things that don't matter.for all the stuff we are getting excited about the same seat is costing £25 for a 14 year old that cost £10 3 seasons ago to basically fill a Saturday afternoon.love city love football loosing my love of city the buissness
You can't have the football without the business - that's what Financial Fair Play said. You can't buy players unless you can show that the revenue is there. That's why the finance interests some fans. It was Arsenal / Man Utd's means of stopping City. They couldn't do it on the pitch so they tried red tape instead.

Just to clarify for you I did not create this thread title I think it was split off the campus thread by Damocles ? .it makes it look as if I'm slamming it when the original debate was do you think better facilities would equate to more home grown players in the first team or are we at a point where success dictates we carnt give them a game the other point was what would you advise your son to do if he was a talented child footballer

I'd tell him to concentrate on his education and take up golf or tennis professionally.

OK that's an answer but was more curious weather you would advise starting at the top with little chance of making it or going the other way starting at the middle or bottom and getting bought by city and becoming success ful that way .eds or first team at lower level ?

What would I advise my son? I'd advise my lad to follow his dreams as I already have. He realised he wasn't going to be a footballer quite some time ago (he is 14 now) so he has decided to study sports science. I am delighted.
If he was going to be a footballer?? I'd tell him to go to whoever is offering the most money?

The post was written in a temper and I agree not well punctuated .but except criticism. Still feel the same things tho.what dramatic improvement do people see coming from the new facilities ? Was thinking about a team coming through examples of which barca greatest ever rags 92 .but even these 2 now are going down the marquee signing route.just find it strange we are getting excited about city morphing into everything we despise about the rags

To be honest mate and I say this in all sincerity, you need to pack watching football in, you are not enjoying it as it's meant to be enjoyed it's affecting your mental health causing you anxiety, depression and no small amount of anger, the thing you are powerless over such matters you either go with the flow of the game or you get out of it, resistance as they say is futile

Best of luck anyway
