Ticket Loyalty Points

I know they dont,i know an adult can " pull through " a kid while buying an away ticket,Iv managed to do it myself for my.nipper,but there appeared a lot of youngsters in our end yesterday.

Maybe more people are getting onto it. I do think it was still relatively unknown until recently. It does appear, although it’s obviously not confirmed, that there is an unlimited amount available throughout the first window of sales. That’s a pretty fair chunk of tickets if everyone buying in that window added a junior to their basket.

Its always a limited few,first come first served etc,no one knows how many pull throughs they allow,id imagine it is a very low number tbf,Iv managed it probably 5 times for my son in the last 5 years,all unpopular away games by the way

Well as you say, we don’t know. I asked that very question a while ago to see if anybody did know and got no replies. Are you always in the first window and usually try bang on opening time? Your experience surprises me if so. I don’t apply every game. But whenever I have I think I might have had 100% success since it became available online.

No,I'm not the first window.
First time.i became aware of this pull through was for tickets for wembley,with the allocation being very high,they allowed parents to buy for their kids at the same time as the parents,so you would be sat together,then i noticed for away tickets it was mentioned in the sales criteria,this is all several years ago,not sure if they still mention it tbh,iv not tried to get my lad one so far this season.

Ah ok. That’ll explain that then. Unless I hear different my guess is still that they are unlimited throughout the first window then. Although it’s obviously another big secret that we can’t be told, how many supporters we have in each window.

My guess is there’s approximately 1000 fans with 21000+ based on the sales windows and what’s available after the club, corps & sc have had first dibs
With around 300ish on 26000 plus that’s based on sales

Windows 3-4 (23-21k) there’s around 50-70 in these brackets that’s based on sales
(I know I’m very sad) my lad is on 21000 I’m much higher so I need to be on the ball for his ticket for the bigger popular games so I keep a track on what’s left
He missed out (officially) on Liverpool & Utd. Qualified for Leeds ok

Just my thoughts would love to know the truth

Just out of curiosity has anybody ever kept track on the maximum number of points it is possible to be on?

Junior pull-through tickets are limited to, I think, 100 tickets.

I though I might have figures for the numbers in various points brackets from City Matters meetings but can't find them if I have.

The only thing I do have is that when we played Everton in 2019, which was the first post-lockdown game and where attendance was limited, there were 650 tickets allocated to those on over 22k points. I'm assuming that was the number who said they wanted one, rather than everyone who had over 22k. So your guess is probably a reasonable one.

My view was, and still is, that points are better than ballots, but we need to change the process. There were discussions about introducing a 5-year rolling system, as they have at Spurs but the big disagreement was about how we achieved that. There are various ways of doing it that were talked about:
  • Just take the last 5 years points from Day 1;
  • Divide the points by a factor (say 50 or 100) and use the result as the start point, so high points holders kept their advantage.
  • Every season, drop the earliest 4 or 5 years points until you got down to the last 4 or 5 years;
  • Weight points so that the last 5 years are weighted at 100%, down to a much lower weighting (10 or 20%) for the earliest years.
We simulated a few of these, using the top 100 points holders as our sample, in order to see if there was any significant impact on these people. Then we got into lockdown and the discussions petered out.
