Ticket Prices

Maybe they should do ST for so many games.
Think I’d be interested in that to be honest as night games are really not appealing to me currently and I’m sure don’t appeal to others who work/live miles away.

I currently pay £630 I think in SS3 so £33 a game. I think I would be happy to pay £45 a game but only for say 12 games or whichever fall on the weekend. They could then sell the other 7 games for say £20 a game which might appeal to more local people who can’t afford the full ST price but may still want to go to some games at a relatively low price.

Might not appeal to everyone though, I get that.

I think anybody defending charging £63 and £40 for kids have lost touch with reality. Have people ever stopped to wonder why so many season ticket holders don’t turn up to matches? It’s because people who probably wouldn’t ordinarily want a season ticket are keeping them because of the scandalous price of match day tickets. Look around the stadium tomorrow and there will be empties all over the place.

Excellent idea
Times have moved on
It shouldnt be one size fits all
There is also a case to be made for season tickets holders opting in for games so if there are games they deffiently not going to they can be put on sale straight away
Also 3 game bundles
kid for quid tickets
Pensioners £10
Scrap citizen card
Loads of things the club can do but they just can't be arsed

You summed it up in one
Who in there right mind would advocate absurd high prices for match tickets Absolutley hundreds of tickets on sale for tomorow
( if any are returns from season ticket holders why flog them at £63)
Loads of corporate hospitality places left as well.
People will vote with there feet
Back in the day it was a treat to go corperate now it is a treat just to go to a game
Loads of pubs will be rammed with City fans tomorow so at least the pub landlords will be happy

Although Gary Cook had his faults and made mistakes when he was CO, he WAS in touch with the fans. I feel as though he would have had a big say in keeping prices down as he had a good idea of the fans working class roots. Soriano ( or the invisible man) is doing a certain job for the club to make money, and no doubt in their eyes is doing well. But his match going fan connection is zero.

He presided over the biggest price rises, cat A went from £28 to £48 in 4 years under him, and a £10 jump in his first year.

He was all about the product and clueless about football. He may have given away free tickets now and again, but the rest of us paid for it in spades and then some.

Whichever way you look at it, £63 for adults and £40 for kids tomorrow is ridiculous pricing, even more so in the current climate. The club were rightly lauded for the Fulham pricing, and equally deserve criticism for this. Will never happen, but that £30 cap on away tickets should be extended to home tickets too. For all clubs.

Yet we've sold 99.9% tickets for tomorrow.

If true, which I doubt?

We haven't sold 99.9% of tickets for 99.9% of home games so far this season.

There's 2 more very important things you have to factor in for the current tickets sales.

1. Pep Guardiola
2. A trophy winning team.

Take both of them away in the future + £60+ tickets and crowds will plummet.

Cook was there 3 years and Soriano nearly 10. Cook was still learning and listening to the match going fans, prices may have increased initially, but I believe he would have controlled it better than what it is now, we'll never know, but that's my gut feeling.

Who's advocating high prices? There's a massive difference between advocating the price and understanding why that's the price.

IF any are returns? You clearly have no clue how our ticket system works. Why do you think there are more tickets for sale now than 12 hours ago?
