Bit like us when all those Lech Poznan fans turned up. At least we kept our guests together. It looked like United gave up nearly half the ground to Galatasaray fans last season and they certainly weren’t happy.

Absolutely disgusting from the club mate but unfortunately not at all surprising.Just returned from holiday. On all the cup schemes and realised I was going to miss the Inter game. Got in touch with the club, wasn't aware of the "rules," and was advised if the club refund you the ticket cost then you will be removed from the UEFA scheme?! I wasn't able to transfer to anybody and if I had been able to transfer, because I am a FOC, the receipient would have to be of a similar status or pay to upgrade. The email I received from customer services was written in the take it or leave it style with absolutely no empathy at all. I fail to understand why the club won't take my ticket from me and IF they sell refund me or as I suggested give a proportion of the sale price achieved to CITC. I also fail to understand this draconian policy of removing you from the scheme. Anybody from City Matters able to explain the thinking on this. IF we had played an away game first I wouldn't have been in this position.
To be fair though that's the whole point of the cup schemes and always has been. If you guarantee to purchase all home games in a cup competition you get extra points and final priority. It makes no sense for the club to allow you to miss games for free but still remain on the scheme because everyone would be doing it.Absolutely disgusting from the club mate but unfortunately not at all surprising.
Yeah, that’s true. The whole system is a joke though and especially how much harder it is for you to give your ticket to a family member or mate. Whilst the club say just send them to us. We’ll knock it off next years ticket (which will go up again anyway) and tout them on for as much as we can get!To be fair though that's the whole point of the cup schemes and always has been. I wasn't asking to miss the game for free I said to City IF you can sell my ticket great, you can return some of the proceeds to me and give the balance to CITC. If you can't sell it then tough I will just have to stand the total loss but why after just one transgression am I threatened with expulsion from the scheme? I fully understand if I was doing thi every other game. As I said if we had had an away tie first up I wouldn't have needed to ask a favour.
