You are right to remind me of the Forest v Leicester game, nevertheless I don't remember MGW doing that much in April and May when Forest blew up. IMO MGW should be a target but if we are looking to make one midfield signing, I wonder if he should be our no. 1 target.

If it was only him then I completely agree, but that doesn't sound like the strategy.

It's a bit dismissive to exclude his impact across the whole season. The whole side buckled under the pressure, but I think you can point the finger at others before MGW. His output over the past three seasons has been impressive considering the clubs he has played for.

As I said before, it's whether he can do it against more defensive teams and in a side where we want all of the ball. Will he be as effective? He's got a lot of energy and clearly is very creative, but when expectations are so high and he needs to deliver from the one moment he might get in a game, can he do it? That's the biggest risk in my opinion. Ultimately it comes down to cost because it's a position we have to get right and if he's going to cost a lot of money then that just piles more pressure on him and I don't think he's worth it.

Based on pure observation I find Dutch people to often be very flawed judges of players, especially their own.

So this makes me more excited about Reijnders
He's talking out of his ass anyway. When Reijnders first got into the team he was a revelation and we were wondering why it took so long for Koeman to call him up (Koeman is shit so no surprise tho) he hasn't left the team since and is a definite starter.
