Time catching up with Zabaleta?

Got away with a second yellow today. He's been my favourite City player since we signed him and it's so sad to see how much he has deteriorated this year. He looks a shadow of his former self. He was fuming when he was rightly hauled off, but I suspect his anger was at himself because he knows how off the pace he is. I hope when he retires he gets a job on the coaching staff. He's the type of character and role model you want the kids in the academy to learn from.

Definitely frustrated with himself and will look back at his reaction and be disappointed. He's an absolute legend and will always be in my eyes and will be gutted when he hangs up his boots in our changing room for the last time.

I think you're being a little harsh. His reaction was one of frustration not anger.

Yep, totally understandable...

A few were shot down when it was highlighted a while back about his decline, it's not nice to see..

For the 100th time though, he's a bonifide city legend, nothing will change that, it's just time to start planning for life without him!!

Possibly but I still dont condone it as it will be seen and reported one way.

He had to come off its that simple.
This fella doesn't deal in histrionics. His currency is blood and guts. Surely we can afford him a little time to get to grips with his emotions?

Im fine with that. Im as upset seeing him struggle like that today as he was with coming off and no doubt his own performance.

He is a warrior and always has been for us.
