The best left-back signing if we were to let Kolarov go would be Jordi Alba, he is basically a left-winger who can defend and we have good relations with his club (Valencia) to snatch him before Barcelona do next summer. But Kolarov won't go unless Juventus make an enticing offer.

Did you see Sunderland s goal? Did you see any of our midfielders hustle back? They just switched off, it was shameful. Ballwatching at its very best.

Watched Barcelona lose 1-0 to getafe (then 2nd bottom of the league)a couple of months ago , Barcelona absolutely battered getafe , but they didnt get a break , and they are the best team in the world by a country mile , so perhaps there is logic in other posters comments.

To be fair, you called the team 'a shower of shite' - I think that's what annoyed him most. You also mentioned about Mancini going back to 'defending' but I think you'll find we haven't scored in the last two games and THAT'S where the problem is, so I don't think we should suddenly focus on defending - the focus needs to be on how to break down teams that park the bus, as West Brom and Sunderland did.

I'm afraid to say that we need to learn a lesson from across the road about breaking teams down who 'park the bus'.
They play their wide men right on both touchlines and keep them there.
This just pulls packed defences wider and creates the gaps req'd to score.
Watch how many times they hit a long ball across the area and you think it's bypassed danger until the opposite wide man gets it midway between the corner and the 18 yard line.
That said you need 2 wide men which we don't have.
The other tactic they use is for their wide men to get to the byline and cut the cross back low towards the penalty spot.
Read "The King" Dennis Laws autobiography, this tactic is noted as the best killer ball in football!!
Was then...still is...40 years later!!...they still use it all the time!
We need to employ this as it works time and time again...and has done for years.

I did see the sunderland goal and it was offside , (and dont forget this was after 25 minutes of constant attacking pressure) , the defence played the offside trap perfectly , and the officials cocked it up , shit happens
