Time to move the family stand

I would say he's wrong

Is that based on club information?

If it’s not next season then I’m sure it will happen in the next few years.

Apparently a lot of people in the Family Stand these days aren’t actually eligible for it anymore but the club just keeps the tickets rolling off since the stand is so big for a family area that they might not be able to fill all the seats with more families if they were to move everyone on.

Currently on the ticket website.

Brentford at home.

Match day tickets currently priced at and remaining in 136.

Don’t really think safe standing will be the silver bullet on atmosphere no matter where you put it. If it’s being rolled out from January onwards it’s £42 in the South Stand safe standing section to watch Brentford in February.

We thought bringing standing back may bring some reduction in ticket prices and maybe bring back some of the blues who have been priced out of going. It appears from initial pricing it more than likely won’t and the club won’t have any variance in whether you are seated or standing on cost.
Safe standing won’t be a panacea. If / when it’s introduced in North Stand Level 1, it needs to be part of the pans to expand the North Stand IMHO.

We’ve seen the Poznan go round parts of the ground that aren’t known for atmosphere in the last two home games. 13 goals is pretty exceptional but there’s clearly more people who want a good atmosphere than a few hundred in South Stand Level 1.

Match day ticket prices are excessive but if people really want to go to the games then they can use the Facebook pages and the BM ticket forum to get cheaper tickets. I’ve mentioned before on here how we share tickets around our SC Branch at a reduced rate or free, when the seat holders are away, I’ll of working shifts etc

It shouldn’t be up to blues buying tickets and then putting them on Facebook less than face value to help others to go, the club should be doing this. Safe standing won’t reduce ticket prices by looks of it, away fans are paying £30 for a seat whilst in the south stand you will be paying more than that to stand up.

Stop being silly Stu, whether you're being serious or not?

The club aren't going move the family stand, parents and kids, next to the away fans. Can YOU imagine the outcome. Leeds would have had a field day, not to mention United, Liverpool, etc.

And if the club did move the family stand to SSL1 on your advice, I and a probable majority currently in SSL1 would move to NSL1, where the family stand used to be. Straight swap.

Stop deluding yourself and being in denial that there isn't an issue after all these years of countless empty seats in the family stand. There is.

I'll be honest. I didn't go to the match yesterday. My sister is with me for Christmas. She has mental health issues and learning difficulties. I can't leave her on her own. I have a duty of care for her.

I watched the match. I can tell you now, there where nowhere near as many empty seats in SSL1 as there where in the family stand. Fact! There were blocks/rows of empty seats, varying in size and amounts, in the family stand, clearly visible.

Not only have we got other fans banging on about empty seats now we have City fans. You had a valid reason for not attending yesterday, many others have the same.

The guy sat next to me lives in Bristol and makes a round trip for home games with his Son. He misses a few games, so what? When he can he transfers the tickets but most of his family are not dedicated enough to make the journey.

Where do those currently in NS L1 go to and will they have to pay more? There’s a real risk of losing more fans than you gain I would say.
I think the moves would need to be part of the North Stand Expansion if / when it happens. Changing the North Stand shouldn’t be the biggest priority IMHO.

I think there are bigger priorities in the short to medium term like making more season cards available together by eg trying to group
seats that become available if fans don’t return after deferring. Possibly encouraging non singers in 114 / 115 to move to those freed up seats and replacing them with people who like to create an atmosphere.

Blues aren’t buying tickets to sell at lower prices on Facebook pages. They are often selling tickets at 1/19th of the season card price for games they can’t make rather than the excessive individual match day ticket prices.

The Club could learn more from the Facebook pages than ticket prices but some fans would cry about a few away tickets being resold.

I would like to see cheaper ticket prices but away tickets are cheaper because the decision makers have had to factor in travel expenses for away fans into price limits.
