Title Chances potentially affected after tonight?

Fergie's comments were interesting re struggling to play compete in the EL and the Prem. Sounds like he's ready to sacrifice the Europa after last nights result.

We have a better squad than they do, and we need the experience of playing (and hopefully winning) in Europe. I don't think us being in the EL will have a negative effect on our title chances.

Why do people think that having extra games will affect our title chances?? The scum went all the way to the CL final last year and still had time in between to win the title....

Is our so called strong squad really that weak that some think an injury here and there will hurt us... We all think the worst case scenario's but until that scenario is put into practice who knows..Id like to think that the more games we play the better we get..

I agree that we can do both however I believe we would maximise our chances of winning the league if we made it our sole target.

Also, the Vinny injury last night serves as a timely reminder of the increased injury potential which comes with playing in the Europa League.

We have been at the top for most if not all of the season and we have had CL games and now EL games...and we are still top.. It is possible to do both cos its done us no harm up til now..

I think Vinny's two week layoff is an example of the potential harm it can cause. We now have our captain and our best defender missing for a fairly tough away game and possibly a big home game vs Chelsea.

I'd love to win both, but winning the league is going to be hard enough without added pressure, risk of injury etc which the Rags will not have.

If you offered me going out to Lisbon next week but then going on win the league, I'd bit your hands off.

gmr also said lescott was doubtful now that would be a blow well have to play 8 forwards and beat them 19 18

How the fuck they are 2pts behind us god knows, they are absolutely shite.
Simple. They are the best in the world at playing like Stoke - repeatedly bash the ball hard towards the vicinity of the goal and eventually it'll get deflected in or bounce out to one of their players for a tap in. They also finish their rare chances with unnerving clinicism, and Fergie's utd have always done that ever since the days of Kanchelskis & Giggs running full length to score. Is clinicism a word? If not, it is now.

They also have Ashley Young, who is very good at finding the top corner when nobody closes him down, but not very good at anything else.

and they have a far superior squad to anybody else in the world, names like Webb, Foy, Wiley, Dean, Walton will echo through the ages as United legends!
