title contending in Jan - £50m spend?

Would be happy with RSC, Given and Logan leaving with good replacements coming in. A young pacey attacking full back who can play both sides, an older but happier to sit on the bench keeper and a top class striker.
 
do you guys presume you just bat your eye lids and Torres comes running? What if you're in 6th or 7th and Pool are ahead of you? Why would't Torres go to a top established CL side, and this is no more a go at City than it is at Spurs he wouldn't come to us either, he's established himself as one of the best players in the world how many of those type of players have you bought Tevez- okay apart from him though?

Look, if we're competing for the title/top 3 place come January and the Dippers are in admin, he'll come, we're not saying he'll come running to us, its opinion but I personally think it could happen.

I'd bet my house that if Torres leaves he'll go abroad, not to another English club, he seems like a nice chap and wouldn't wanna upset the pool fans

i don't think so, and neither do a lot of us I hope, you have to take a few comments on here at face value, as a few comments from several fans. The odds of us being 6th or 7th and below Pool are minimal imo, but if we are no he won't come, but if we're challenging for the title I think we will be a lot more tempting for him. He didn't want to in the summer but if that situation changes, you never know, it might be easier to get him in january if we're up near the top because he'll see the chance to win the league and the CL football that would follow, so may forgive 4 more months of his career to get it. But it's all "ifs" and "buts", and he won't go to an established CL side a) because they don't have the money b) they have settled squads and CL strikers already. I think we can get him, but only if we deliver on the pitch first, I think us beating Liverpool so convincingly and Chelsea and being 4th at the moment will help, but the hard part now is keeping it up, which we didn't do last season, you dropping points really helps though.

agreed i'v said alll summer and still he will either stay or go abroad , wont come to city.
