title contending in Jan - £50m spend?

There was an estimation earlier this month that we had a transfer budget surplus of about £175m to spend at immediate notice.

All I'm gonna say is,
Torres
Rodwell
Bale

The jigsaw would definitely be complete
why would bale leave spurs?

If we're in contention then we probably fixed Ade and don't need another striker. If not then we need to replace him and we need another LB. I'm pretty sure that Lescott, Bridge, SWP, Shay, RSC are all on the naughty list and will be gone next year, The problem then is finding Home Grown replacements.

But they've just played West Ham, they surely must have beaten them?
well everyone else has
and spurs played two attacking midfielders and play the 'beautiful' game and win

van de vart and Modric are sublime according to sunday suppliment and city wont win owt with barry yaya and de jong in midfield... and theres me thinking that we won and spuds lost...should i be worried..??

Just like we surely beat Sunderland....oh...

do you guys presume you just bat your eye lids and Torres comes running? What if you're in 6th or 7th and Pool are ahead of you? Why would't Torres go to a top established CL side, and this is no more a go at City than it is at Spurs he wouldn't come to us either, he's established himself as one of the best players in the world how many of those type of players have you bought Tevez- okay apart from him though?

Money talks especially with Liverpool in the shit.....My personal opinion is we don't need him Now we have Baloteli

I'd bet my house that if Torres leaves he'll go abroad, not to another English club, he seems like a nice chap and wouldn't wanna upset the pool fans
agreed i'v said alll summer and still he will either stay or go abroad , wont come to city.

All last summer i was of the opinion if Torres was to leave he would come to us or chelsea, barca will sign fabregas next summer for 50 mill so can't see them spunking another 50 on Torres. Madrid wouldn't go there due to Athletico links, inter are fcuking skint probably only us or chelsea that could afford him and offer him top whack in wages etc.

Now though i get the feeling he wouldn't join us if we won the prem last season, imo We have an image problem for Torres,we don't have this illustrious history and he would get the reputation of being a mercenary i don't think he will ever join us.

If we are within 6 points of the leaders then it would be madness to not invest in another top line striker - Ade, RSC and Jo all have question marks against them for one reason or another.

Same pair for me as always, Torres or Dzeko.

if were within 6 points then there is no need to spend

please dont say that, mancini may hear you, he totally wasted the last january window and we dont want to encourage him to repeat that error, had he strengthened then we would be playing champions league football now.

If we're in contention, which I doubt, I'd leave well alone. Brings back memories of the Rodney Marsh signing.
