All I said was you shouldn't just assume Torres will want to join and I get a tirade of abuse of spurs are shit they lost to west ham etc etc. Oh and balotelli is better than everyone in our squad apparently! Jesus! I actually wouldn't mind having an actual football debate but you guys seen to just wanna slag spurs off this isn't about spurs.

If we are within 6 points of the leaders then it would be madness to not invest in another top line striker - Ade, RSC and Jo all have question marks against them for one reason or another.

Same pair for me as always, Torres or Dzeko.

ade is top class and should be kept

torres just doesnt look himself at all and his injury problems may continue to hamper him for the rest of his career

agreed i'v said alll summer and still he will either stay or go abroad , wont come to city.

All last summer i was of the opinion if Torres was to leave he would come to us or chelsea, barca will sign fabregas next summer for 50 mill so can't see them spunking another 50 on Torres. Madrid wouldn't go there due to Athletico links, inter are fcuking skint probably only us or chelsea that could afford him and offer him top whack in wages etc.

Now though i get the feeling he wouldn't join us if we won the prem last season, imo We have an image problem for Torres,we don't have this illustrious history and he would get the reputation of being a mercenary i don't think he will ever join us.

I certainly agree that there is nowhere else for Torres to go except for us and perhaps Chelsea. None of the Italian clubs can afford him and you've covered the two main La Liga sides. I think the main issue is where would he actually fit in? We already have two fantastic strikers (Super Mario is made for the Premier League), but assuming at least one of Adebayor and Santa Cruz go we do certainly need at least one top quality 'squad striker.' Lukaku or Muniain would be brilliant.

You'll find that I said that Balo was better than "City's, Spurs' and Liverpool's squads put together".

It was a joke, focusing on the fact that I have been saying that Balo is very good since he signed, and people have accused me of overrating him.

I have no words to describe my surprise that anybody could take that as a serious statement.

If Ade leaves then a Dzeko may be necessary, but adding more than one replacement up front is not vital, seeing as we play with one up top Tevez and Dzeko is enough to fulfill the two world-class players benchmark.
