He didn't, we got Vieira....;)

Mock Vieira all you want but I think he's got a very important job at City, he's there for a lot more than playing in my opinion. He's a winner and a leader, and behind the scenes that is a very important thing to have within the club, as we have an inexperienced and young team. I'm sure Yaya and De Jong are learning a lot from him, as are many others, and that could well be a more important job than you could imagine.

I also imagine that he's doing his coaching badges in his spare time, and this could be another big asset to the club, there are few around that have done what he's done in football, and I'm pleased he's at our club and not someone elses.

I wasn't mocking him...I love Vieria, I think he's quality to have around the team and is still a very good player.

mr Nervous from Brighton.
dear mr nervous

yes you should be worried
you will never beat the top teams like liverpool, chelsea, spurs etc playing like that
read the guardian regularly and you will see the error of your ways

where will u field dzeko wid tevez and balotelli already in team and santa , ade on bench ..lets not copy madrid in spoiling gud players by keeping them on bench .. our squad is deep enough . only if ade leaves , dzeko should be considered .. we cant play all three of tevez , balo and dzeko ..and i dont want any one of them crying for first team place after six months

i dont know what that meant . but i am correct . A young English striker would be more suited . he would be ready to sit on bench and can be nurtured .. Why not try for Caroll .

As has been said new signings in january could be detrimental to a settled (by then) squad, and signing Torres would be a very big gamble unless he rediscovers his form between now and christmas.
He has came back from injury just before the world cup and looked a very pale shadow of his former self, and wouldnt be the first player to come back from injury half the player he was before.
Now i know that what is going on at dipperpoo could be part of the problem, but he was cr@p at the world cup as well, and at present looks disinterested, too big a gamble if you ask me.
The injuries we have at that time may well decide for us if or who we look to sign in the january window, but it is not normally a good time to be making big signings for a host of reasons.
