Two things from my POV

Firstly youth is definitely the direction that the club will take if they do buy (1 megastar is the exception) and Marwood will be driving that. However I dont think January will be too productive.

Secondly if we are going for youth and looking at strikers, I have heard that Chelsea have a lad called Sturridge who is going to be the best in the country before his 16th birthday, sorry 18th, sorry 20th, I meant 21st...............

We don't really need that much but if Adebayor is off we need to go full-on for Dzeko again.

We should have Michael Johnson back by them who himself may be like a new signing if he stays fit. Maybe a young creative attacking midfielder willing to wait his turn (Gai Assulin?).

Thats if he comes back the same player or if he can make the grade, is he a top 4 player? tin hat time me thinks.

If we are to fight for the title, i want us to do it with the squad we have.

I'd rather go for City that has gelled to dominate the league in decades to come by competing for the title in the next few years, than win a one-off season.

Our team is a strong enough team, we just have to win with grit. So if i were to improve on something, i'd go for youths that will be dependable and class backups.

IMO we need another striker who can pop in 20+ goals per season. If Balotelli (looked good but needs to prove himself in the Premiership), Ade (known for his motivation problems) or RSC (never recovered his form post injury but only ever had 1 good season) can do it then we are ok. God forbid that Carlos is injured!!

Defensively we are struggling but who wouldn't with Bridge, Lescott, Richards & Kolarov injured?

The future looks good to me despite having some problems.

they all would be fit at least for backup. but it'd be very hard to snap even 1 of them. imo city need 1 creative CM (pastore, schweinsteiger), and a '9'. it'd be perfect!
