He was saying glaxo make 8 billion a year and their board is payed a 7th of what man city squad earn, so he goes on to say why aren't the man city players criticised like board members of other firms are, the presenter stood firm and replied well they are, city are being used in all quarters as an example but mr Rooney is still squeaky clean.

I can see why Wenger doesnt want to over pay wages because lets be honest, a lot of City players are overpaid. 200k for bloody Tevez and Aguero which is probably more than Iniesta and Fabregas at Barca.

What gets to me is when I constantly see Fergie being described as the greatest manager of all - and he's been knighted for Christ's sake.

His bacon was saved early in his United career by the lucky emergence of half a dozen good young players, much as we had in the eighties. The big difference between us and them was that Ferguson had the money available to let him build around that core with good, expensive, players. He hasn't looked back since, but still felt the need to cheat by way of influencing officials.

We'll never know what he would have done without the luck and the cash. Could he have done as well as the likes of Moyes, Allardyce or O'Neill?

See those wages - they're nothing compared to what we'll be paying the likes of Messi and Ronaldo in the next few years. Nobody can compete now. Face it - City are going to rule the world until someone richer than our owner comes along...which isn't going to happen. So basically world football is ours mwahahahahaha
