get a grip. it's the community shield, and the days of us putting one over on the rags in a season with it being the only highlight, are well behind us thank god.

the season starts a week tomorrow, and we'll meet the scum at least twice. i have a feeling it'll be more than that though, and in much more significant games of football than today's was.

sit back and enjoy the final ascension of the blue moon, cos it's going to be there for a long time!

like it? of course not. but there really are some much, much bigger fish to fry in the 11-12 season.

As far as I am concerned, it's not about the shield, nor the actual score which wasn't as bad as it would appear, but the actual way it was played.

It's Citys lack of fight that caused concern today ......

the rags hardly played badly in the semi-final , but City raised their game to match them , even better them ...

we had a few players out there today who let other players , the manager , and the fans down ....... and they'll know who they are !

Correct. Even a 2-0 or 3-0 thumping would be nearly easier to take than that today. We were 2 up against them. Any side with pretentions about winning leagues, cups etc should not be surrendering 2 goal leads in one half (or indeed in a whole game). Very disappointing.
