Todays Other Matches | 01/01/2014

Latest despatch from the Sad Cafe:

"Both goals should have been avoided. That's the only silver lining. We weren't out-classed, we were just terrible.

Once RVP, Jones and Rafael comes back - we should toddle on through."

Well fuck me sideways, then. Just when I was looking forward to them being out of Europe. They are apparently just going to "toddle on" back into our neighbourhood.

The January window is always a tricky one for buying in. Taking a punt on an expensive rookie who shows promise isn't what the rags need right now and they have not got money to throw away. Buying a top player is almost a no-go because they are usually competing in the champions league or for the championship of there relative league.
Not sure any top player would want to go there anyway- would RVP have gone if he had known that he only had one season with Ferguson?.. and is Rooney happy and gunna stay for another 3-4 years?

Troubled times and personally i want Moyes to stay- if he goes they might get a top man who knows what he's doing and set them off again. Mid table mediocrity with the odd relegation brush suits me fine. You guys ok with that or am i going soft?!

Wonder if Uncle Malc kept his receipt ? He could maybe take Moyes back to Everton and see if they'll give him a refund ha ha ha
They could claim 'faulty goods'.

I'd go for wrongly described as a football manager in the promotional material and not fit for its intended purpose

Kenwright will tell them to do one anyway - definately wouldn't swap them for what he got in replacement ha ha ha

Chosen one eh???
The 'cheap one', more like.

From rag cafe-

Tim Sherwood: "They were there for the taking."

How depressing is that? Tim fucking Sherwood and Spurs come to Old Trafford and feel that we were there for the taking.
The same Spurs (new manager, granted) that got royally buttfucked 6-0 at our place a few weeks back. Hilarious.

Looking forward to that southern rag on YouTube giving his armchair post match analysis with his silly hat on! Comedy Gold

FFS Moyes better not get banned for his post match comments.

They might actually win a game if he's not there.
Did he say anything controversial? Like the best team won or his players are all divers?

Didn't see any of the dives despite the fact his eyes are popping out his skull like a Road Runner cartoon character - the man is out of his depth and in denial - he knows now that without a real upturn in performances and results his time in the spotlight is coming to a close....
