Artillery is a loaded phrase.
Its just a gun you fire from the ground with a longer barrel.

There's no one buying 9mm Assault rifles, so straight away were taking about much bigger ammunition, with higher velocity rounds that do more damage and are much more likely to go through walls and do collateral damage. No one has hollow point ammo for an AR15 style weapon.
They dont have 8-12 round magazines like a handgun, more likely 30+.
Not being in your hand, but braced by a stock against the shoulder means you can shoot them much more quickly even as a semi automatic. Not to mention bump stocks that can turn a semi-automatic AR15 into an automatic - no equivalent for a handgun.
We might not be gun nuts, but come on, don't write comments that insult everyone's intelligence by pretending handguns and assault rifles are the same.
