Today's shooting in America thread

Simple fact is, that for many in the USA, the senseless killing of children is a price worth paying for the individual's right to bare arms.

For many maybe but what baffles me not the majority. Following past atrocities I have seen reportage that says about a third have guns - a few more are mad keen on 2nd amendment rights but the vast majority of politicians are pro gun. When anti gun candidates stand they seems to be the subject of personal attacks ( probably NRA funded ) and effectively priced out of the game. However if the anti gun majority grew some balls and voted in senators and representatives who were anti gun there could be the foundations laid to then take on the gun lobby for once and for all. They don't though.

Well, the American people's refusal to address gun control makes every one of them guilty. (and shit for brains)

By the same token, the German people took collective responsibility for the horror carried out in their name

I guess the Germans are just better people than the Americans ( and much less able to shoot up a school).
Is does seem crazy that advocates for stricter gun control (or however you try to solve it) are fighting such a losing battle with all this horrific evidence of the problem staring everyone right in the face, but they're out there and they're American.

Why not let people own nuclear weapons, and chemical weapons.

What disgusting creatures the NRA and gun lobby are.

I don't think stopping every last psycho from owning an AK47 is the beginning of some slippery slope to complete disarmament. Why can't people understand this?

My absolute pleasure.

Your country is very keen to take arms off the Koreans, Syrians and Iraqis. But God forbid, you take arms away from your own people. How would you be able to shoot up all your schools?

Your minimising of the murder of kids throughout your country shames a once great nation. Your country has turned evil in the pursuit of corporate profit.

I get it now - your ex was American and revenge porned you.

I think they’ve gone too far the wrong way to ban guns; it’d cause absolute chaos if they were to ban them now.

That chaos would still be worth it now then having more incidents like these. Imagine the pain those families would be feeling. Seeing ure child grow up from a baby into a teenager with future ahead of him/her all coming to an abrubpt painful end because someome with a gun decided to act like a cu*t.

Anyone who has the gall to suggest that psychopathic lunatics shouldn't have the right to buy as many semi automatic assault rifles as they want with as much ammunition as they can fit in a Toyota Land Cruiser is branded as a snowflake liberal by the all powerful gun lobby. This same lobby are upset that they're not allowed to buy military grade fully automatic weapons and instead need to use bump stocks to make their semi automatic weapons act like fully automatic ones. As long as this attitude is prevalent amongst those with any influence, nothing will change.
I like you.
