Today's shooting in America thread

Ah yes, you can legally own a Gatling gun. But kinder eggs are dangerous....

I think i heard this was the 22nd school shooting this year. Obviously they're not all mass shootings, but the fact that there's any is enough to show that these types of guns need banning.

Why can't they limit themselves to pistols if they *MUST* bear/bare arms? Why does it have to be assault rifles?

I had an argument with a yank a while back on FB about this and he said that the UK has murders too, with knives.

I mean you'll never ever eradicate murders. It's impossible... but you can try.

The comparison with knives if f*cking stupid. You have to physically engage with your intended victim for a start.

I worked with a Trumpton and he used to mention knife crime in London when ever I brought the subject of mass shootings up.

He never had an answer for my reply..... "so you are walking through a mall and a nutter is on the loose..... which do you fancy your chances with more...... facing the nutter with an assault riffle or facing the nutter with a knife?"

Exactly!!!

I'm pretty sure I'd have a better than 50-50 chance of outrunning a knife wielding maniac but not so confident I could dodge a 5.56mm bullet travelling at 1000m/s

The tragic irony is that the 18 yr old couldn't buy a handgun at his age but could buy two AR-15 rifles. It's legally a pistol but also a rifle when it suits the gun nuts.

It’s also very easy to modify these weapons with bumperstocks that compensate for recoil and allow a higher firing rate and add on magazine attachments that hold hundreds of rounds.

I believe Hamilton used pistols at Dunblane. No need for any hand guns in society.

Just single shot hunting rifles and shotguns should be allowed for those that use them in legitimate hobbies imo.
