Togo team bus shot at - Adebayor safe {merged}

Continually quoting the dickheads (on here or anywhere), and posting about them however, does make it seem like there are more of them, and satisfies their need for attention. Just let it go.

However, pointing out that we have dickheads, doesn't make the people that made those comments any less dickheads!

Don't get me wrong at all, those comments are disgraceful. I just hate seeing things like that (people wishing death and stuff).
You would hope something like this would make people realize that much as we all love football, there are a world of things more important and we are lucky we have the rags to hate and not someone that wants to gun us down as soon as we leave our homes!

This could put the South African world cup in doubt too.
Thoughts are with all those involved in todays tragedy.

Why? If there was an incident like this in Greece would it affect a tournament being held in England? Those are the sort of distances we're talking about.

Tragic news, really feel for the driver and his family. Such a shame, the guy was doing his job.

Hope the injured parties recover fully. This tournament should be cancelled.

RIP

Kodjovi Obilale and Serge Akakpo were two of the players shot and others were injured by broken glass apparently.

Akapo's meant to be in critical condition.

Portsmouth just announced they want their players back

Good move by Pompey in my opinion & I hope all other clubs do the same. As has been posted on here many times in this thread, Angola is obviously an unsafe place to hold a football competition & I wouldn't want any other player, official or bus driver harmed or killed when all they are trying to do is their job.

Where was the security?

You have multi million pound footballers in a political hotbed. Somebody tell me there was security!

The bus was apparently being escorted by the army, but as in most of these places the army only serves money, £50 and their probably took off, to secure the next junction leaving the bus on its own for the attack.
