Togo team bus shot at - Adebayor safe {merged}

Why haven't City arranged to bring Adebayor home? Get off your asses, people. Togo will not be participating in the rest of the tournament so why the delay?

If they're going home - considering this entire ordeal it would be a pretty cool gesture by us to arrange to get the entire Togo team out of there, not just Adebayor. We seem to be the only ones in the world with money these days so that'd be amazing, a good gesture and some good publicity for once. However it's not like it's a war zone or anything, now that they're away from that border area I doubt they'll be in much harm but since most of the players are based in Europe anyway it would be a really cool thing for us to arrange.

Absolutely shocking news. Even if Adebayor did come home right now it might be weeks or even months before he gets his head right to even think about playing football again after what he's just witnessed!

Indeed.

Ade said it`s one of the worst experiences he has had in his life. He must have seen some carnage in his time growing up then. This makes me believe that he will be mentally strong enough to carry on. An example is the Sri Lankan cricket team who were attached in Pakistan. They seem to have been able to put it behind them.

You've just reminded me about how Tevez saw a few dreadful thinks when he was growing up in Argentina. He saw bodies in the street, by all accounts. I can't begin to imagine. Awful.

Because Ade as captain is holding a team meeting today to make a final decision on wether they stay. I'm sure that if they make the decision to leave we will have our jet in the air to get him.

Togo team was ambushed when they crossed the border to Cabinda, the city that host "group B" 2010 Africa Cup of Nations
Group B contains of Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo.

Cabinda (also spelled Kabinda) is an exclave and province of Angola, a status that has been disputed by many political organizations in the territory.

I fear for the rest of Group B
Ade, get yourself out of there.
