Think Athletics rescued themselves towards the end of the games so their funding should be safe.

Rowing are going to get huge cuts as they performed abysmally, and for the life of me I can not understand why Hockey gets £12,905,612 when the maximum number of medals available is 2.

Others that should get cuts are:-

• Canoeing £16,344,693 - 2 medals.
• Judo £6,564,334 - 1 medal.
• Shooting £6,008,790 - 1 medal.
• Gymnastics £13,408,688 - 3 medals.

Events that are out and out professional should also be ditched from the games. Golf, Tennis, Football, Rugby, Road Cycling and any others that use highly paid athletes.

Felt sorry for the bloke who ran the final leg and thought he'd cost the team the gold. Turns out he needn't have bothered, because his teammate has made sure they're coming home with nothing.

You can only assume that the chances of getting caught are pretty slim, because it seems like an utterly crazy thing to do.

Brilliant athlete, she's already inspired so many people, there's been a big uptake in BMX riding apparently. Hopefully she gets the funding she and the sport deserves now and hopefully plenty of sponsors too.
