I believe London was a one off, the fear is from the Scottish and Welsh FAs, they won't compete at the Olympics because they fear FIFA will insist we compete as GB at World cups and Euros.

That doesn't sound right.
A world cup football team must be a single country.
Its not like rugby where e.g. Northern Ireland and the Republic join as one team or where in the Olympics a combined GB team competes.

Yeah a lot of them don't seem on form. Only Peaty so far looks good. Having said that, facing one of the best in the world in the first round isn't ideal. I guess that's what happens when you don't have seeding.

Not just that, her opponent had already had a warm up fight as Jones got a bye, that can't have helped.

At least Peaty is a nailed on gold.
