I agree. When one person is clearly better than the other, it's fine, but when it's pretty even, you might as well toss a coin.
On another note, wasn't boxing going to be kicked out of the Olympics for being corrupt as fuck?
In recent years, I think London 2012 had some blatantly mad results. a whole bunch of judges were sent home after some obviously wrong outcomes - I think in one, a boxer was put down 6 times and 'won'.
I think there were some wrong ones in Rio too, and after at least one of those two saw a significant change in how scoring was done.
