Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics

I'm no skateboarding expert, but that was head and shoulders above everyone else just from the eye test. Not sure what the craic is with the sport because it's been what appears to be total duffers against pros. In the last discipline they had last week there was an american just doing these little naff jumps, scored something like 1.5. Seen better outside the urbis.

Just watched Sky Brown (13 years old) skateboarding. Wow! What a talent.

Enjoyed the climbing too. For anyone who has never climbed, it's hard to comprehend just how strong and dynamic those athletes are.
Correct

Another insane 400m hurdles, both Americans under the old world record, broken by half a second. Femke Bol just outside the old record in 3rd.

I've been following Honnold's feats for years. Essentially got me into rock climbing. Him and Tommy Caldwell are incredible.
I haven't climbed anything more than scaffold for a few years now, have a few scary Rock climbing stories from the past, a lot more exhilirating ones mind

I wonder how many of these world records are down to the shoe situation. Both 400m hurdles events had two people running under the existing world records. It reminds me a bit of that Olympics where Speedo had a new swimming costume out and records fell left, right and centre. And that got banned for the next one.

Shame for Clarke in the boxing. The cuts from the previous fight got it stopped by the doctor.

The standing 8-count rule seems a bit bollocks too. They stop the fight when you're on top and the other guy is rocked, and it barely even counts for anything on the judges cards.
