I thought the Maine Road floodlights were the tallest man made structure in the world, until their demolitionImpressive but the Tokyo skytree is third tallest structure.
The world's tallest human-made structure is the 828-metre-tall (2,717 ft) Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The building gained the official title of "tallest building in the world" and the tallest self-supported structure at its opening on January 9, 2010
The Burj was in its first stage of construction when I visited in 2006, for those that don’t know it was my prize in a Charity Golf Event for a hole in one at Ashton under Lyne GC, thinkImpressive but the Tokyo skytree is third tallest structure.
