He has always reminded me of Ward Prowse, hopefully this is the beginning of a similar career.
Thanks for that info. It does not sound like Cardiff is the best place to hone "City style" football skills but I am sure Tommy will learn lots about being a first team regular, battling for results and other stuff that will be of value for his career.Barnsley were the better team and deserved to win but the quality is not good. Tommy simply defended an area of the pitch for most of the game and took the set pieces. He also showed his leadership skills when immediately standing between two players from opposing teams when there was a potential flair-up. Barnsley had most of the possession and Cardiff, in a game alien to Tommy really, simply kicked it long behind the opposition full-backs or, following a substitution, to a big strong centre-forward who showed great strength to score, against the run of play, on his debut.

I didn't even notice him, tbh. Nobody stood out.How did Gomes play?
That seems par for the course. Watched a couple of Barnsley games this year and he's been anonymous. They are so poor technically that his loan can only have helped with his strength and fitness.I didn't even notice him, tbh. Nobody stood out.
looks like he’s enjoying himself anyway
