Tommy Muir RIP : minutes applause on 71 mins

Pointed out to me as one of the TOP City guys many years ago and saw him at many an away game. RIP Tommy

Met Tommy years ago and he helped me with tickets down through the years and we shared a few pints and laughs. I'm from Coleraine originally and told him my story how I started going to city late 70s and early 80s travelling overnight on ferry, attend game and straight home again after game on Saturday overnight ferry. Quite a few years ago he gave me this plaque which he'd rescued from Maine Road and is something I'll always treasure RIP blue

Didn't know Tommy to talk to but knew his face from our City travels.
Last time we saw him was the day after our Champions league win, we were all celebrating dancing and singing outside the bars in the sultanahmet area of Istambul.
Among us all was Tommy in his wheelchair with a big smile on his face as he was being pushed around to the music. Glad he lived long enough to see us win it.
R.I.P Tommy.

Billy B. RIP Tommy. 50 years of being a mate. From the post with his sidekick, Pete Roger’s to the Hat and Feathers - Newton St branch - Clive Wilson our player guest - Journalist Patrick Barclay hanging out at the pub. 80’s promotion parties at the Post Office Social club. Away games on a coach from Longwynd Shropshire cos Manchester coach firms would’nt touch the branch with a barge pole.Home games at Maine Road in the Albert, City Social Club and the Clarence. Main Stand, Block HC just behind the Directors box in the Swales years. At the Etihad, Colin Bell stand top tier, Gate 326 - at the bar for a half time pint and catch up. Links with the Langley Lads - Win, Duggie Corlett, Tony Valente and Mick Akin. The pub years, Ardwck Empire, Mad Hatter, Kenilworth( all those tv screens) and the George - with the kinkladze room! European nights in Santander, Munich and Celtic. Look out for a sky blue star in the sky tonight - shine on you crazy diamond!! Happy Trails !!

Tommy was a good man, always willing to help out a Blue and he along with Piano Pete helped make Cheadle Blues a fantastic supporters club.

He had a brilliant sense of humour, i remember when the Rags lost away to Southampton playing in that gray kit that they claimed made it difficult to make out their team mates, Tommy ordered his staff at the George in Cheadle to ignore any rags wearing that shirt on the grounds they were invisible :)

I worked in the pub just down the road from the George and one night the rags were playing Fiorintina and i had got our barmaids Fiorintina shirts as we used to get the rags in that wouldnt watch in Tommys pub, Tommy came down for a pint and a laugh at what we had done, big smile on his face, he said "love it Russ, thats brilliant"

He will be greatly missed by all of us at Cheadle Blues as well as in the wider City family, he was a truly great man and he is a legend.

Known Tommy since the 80s through OSC (use to let him beat me at darts keep on his good side :-) top blue even when ill with that shitty disease travelled to Euro aways. Sure I bumped into him at Old Trafford recently when we'd give them another football lesson, said how you doing Tommy. Fucked was his reply but not in a moaning way. Rest in Peace fella.
