It is not a snub but consent. Rummenigge and Hoeneß aren't really Kroos' fans. I think he just did not fulfill the expectations they have of their "own youngsters" - not with his performances but with the personality.

It was always clear (apart from some "transfer news") that Kroos will never go back to Bayern - and that for him means that he will never go back to the Bundesliga as this would be a real big step down from Real and Bayern.

This is where I think we have the advantage.

Real would never sell to Barca or Atletico directly in this era, Bayern wouldn't want him and that pretty much leaves us as the most prestigious club left for him, as if Pep wasn't enough!
