I really don't get the hype that surrounds Kroos. I've watched him maybe 10 times now. Out of those games I've only seen him play well once. When BM beat Arsenal and he scored. I think in this world cup that Schweinsteiger has been streets ahead of him. This is the same at a club level. I see Robben, Muller and Schweinsteiger doing it week in week out, and Kroos is just along for the ride. He reminds me of Carrick in a way. Doesn't get stuck in, but can find a decent pass when he gets his head up. Would be rubbish with lesser players. If Munich really wanted to keep him, they would just offer him the wages he is asking for. Although, they do have plenty of options to chose from.

He's got really good shot power and passing on Fifa. If I were to play as Bayern Munich I'd rather play him than Gotze in midfield. Plus he's rated 84, definitely justifies his price tag.

But he's not pacey enough. He's worthless if he's not pacey. That's why Jesus Navas is our best player

You're right it can sometimes be a problem, but if you play him in a 4231 with Robben and Ribery either side he flourishes. Doesn't need the pace then.

Good point. Bayern can score a lot of sweaty goals with those guys on the team!

Not with Robben - with Ribery and Müller. I have never seen a good match from Robben when Kroos plays the 10 and with Ribery. The match lacks dynamic then - you have a static striker, a static no. 10, a Robben that has to work in a ball possession system against a couple of defenders... It works with Müller as then Lahm pushes forward and Müller uses the room between striker and Kroos who plays the 10 more like an 8 from deep. As then Müller has all the attention of the opponents defensive midfielders Kroos usually gets more space and can work pretty well in it.

Stupid from Bayern. Kroos is man to replace Schweinsteiger. If he wins the world cup then he deserves to be on the same salary as the other big hitters. Fantastic player and will just keep getting better. Will probably be world class at 35.

I don't agree with this. I don't think the move is primarily about money, but money often does reflect how much your company values you. Kroos wants t be paid at the same amount as the top starts at Bayern like Ribery, Lahm, Bastian, Muller and Robben. He is particularly angry that Lewandowski, Gotze and Thiago are being paid more than him. Bayern obviously do appreciate him enough and that's why he is going. I think he it is fair enough. It is a similar situation like Ashley Cole. Bayern will probably regret this unless they put a first option when he leaves. Would not be bad for them if they buy him back in a 3 years when Schweinsteiger starts to decline.

Any way back to Toni Kroos, a brilliant signing specially for the reported fees of about 20m

Im sure we could have matched the wages if we wanted him, that is a very good price for such a talented player who is only 24
