Yaya is far from a sublime passer. He did quite a few sloppy balls last season.
I'm without a doubt Yaya's biggest critic but you can't question his passing ability, even if he wasn't at his best last season.

I agree, Kroos is not a player you take into a battle. We already have gundogan who fits the bill much better.

Same way I feel about himPersonally I would say he's hugely overrated by people on here. If you want a sublime passer of a ball who is ridiculously slow and lazy, then we already have Yaya.
The 3 in front of themNot everything. Where is the goal threat?
Never seen Kroos have an impressive game. Sounds like another who'd disappoint after we'd sign them.
I want us to be signing the players who genuinely blow us away when we see them regularly on tv or play against them. Like Fernandonho or KDB - there was no doubting the evidence.
I was at the Bernebau for the Betis game last season (Real won 5-0) and i was proper looking forward to seeing Kroos live. I was shocked at how shit he was. The ball kept bouncing off him and rolling under his foot, but he pacified the fans by hitting pointless diagonals every now and then. I'm not sure what his energy levels are like because he always looks fairly one paced to me. I clearly caught him on a bad day, but he didn't ooze the sort of class i was expecting from him.Exactly my fear with Kroos, especially as every league game is a battle in this country. That said I think he would be far better for us in the Champions League.

Kroos is the closest player out there to yaya. Forget pogba, this guy is on a par with yaya technically and that is what we will miss most. Of course, both kroos and pogba would be nice...You can put me in the camp of not convinced he's made for the PL style of football. A little ponderous & ploddy with his movements, no doubt a very good passer but seems quite passive in his nature. I'd much rather someone like Fernandinho willing to bust a gut & take players out every now & then, much happier with the Gundogan acquisition also.
Also not sure why Madrid would sell him, seems to have been the mainstay of their midfield for the majority of the season & trusted under Zidane far more than Isco/James. The midfielders we're linked with currently all seem somewhat unlikely for various reasons (Pogba/Kroos/Thiago) - hoping to see a 3rd & successful push for Isco, as out of the 3 Madrid guys he'd be my choice, and seems more attainable given his lack of gametime.
He was glorious. Completely dominated us.Kroos was a maestro when he played against us. Some people forgot about that apparently.
