Really enjoyed the celtic game last bight and fair play to them.

JUst seen the gif of the Rooney penalty and am not surprised anymore.

Really I thought the game was boring as hell to be fair. It was the equivalent of watching a League 2 team beat a Premiership team but with none of the excitement
Then again I do dislike Celtic almost on a par with the rags but that said I still think the actual game regardless of the result was poor

Cant take that away from them but its kind of my point of a lower league team beating a Premier League team, it had that kind of atmosphere about. Blowing fake whistles at 80 mins and so on

I actually think Rooney's penalty was, at best, very soft (as was the Braga penalty imo) but I don't think you can base any judgement on a 2 second gif of an incident, from one particular angle.

Seems to be a growing trend on here to back up debate on controversial decisions with the "evidence" of a gif. Such clips are always very brief and from the angle that best supports the posters argument, great for entertainment and encouraging debate but usually proof of nothing.

Yes he went down easy ... but so would 99% of players in that situation
