Tonights City match V Timbers

I'm in Portland now and will head to the pub in a few hours before going to the match. An article in the local paper amused me with a Timbers' players thoughts about squaring off against City: "It's going to be a great learning experience for us. Just seeing the mentality that Manchester City brings to the game is going to help us." Given our recent history of not quite being able to pull out the crucial wins like Tottenham and United, I wonder if our "mentality" is really that awe-inspiring. There does seem to be a buzz about town regarding City's stay here, and its not just people confused about whether we are Manchester City or Manchester United.

I few renditions of the only team to come from Manchester should help educate any plastics, enjoy the game mate, (Wish I was going looks in wallet skint as fucking usual)

Am just curious here but is this the first time you will see City live?

That must be a great experience.

First time to see them here in the States. I caught City at Reading back in 98-99 when we were in the third division and I made it to COMS the season before last to see the 1-0 over Boro. Still, looking forward to catching the pre-season action and just hoping a few of the first team will actually make it on to the pitch.

So, tonight at 3am, can I watch the game live? I've been trying to follow this thread but it's confusing me. If I can watch it, I'd definitely stay up.

I am here in America and it comes on at 10pm so I am staying up.

Their website is confusing, not sure if means the radio broadcast or video will be live. Then it states a vid archive will be up Sunday morning.. which would be mid to late afternoon in England.

Ahh ok, sounds like it's not being streamed live then. Might hit the sack! You lucky okstate99 chap will be fine! It's a shame it's just a training match rather than a proper friendly, would have made a very good day better! (after watching the reserves game today my hunger for football has grown more, rather than done the opposite!)
