To be fair to Sparky, we are talking about now, as I said before. I have watched him quite a lot (in person, as well, about eight years ago) and he is not quite as good as he used to be. Put 23 year old David Villa on Barça and he would have rivaled Messi.

regardless of his current form in the last eighteen months he's scored goals to win spain the world cup and barca the champs league

i can see why some wouldn't rate him

I can't believe this player is a blue. There is literally no better playmaker on the planet at the moment. Players like Iniesta etc have done it over a longer period of time (David is younger), but right now, at this precise moment in time, Silva shits over everybody.

I get worried when Silva plays so well on a big stage - that one of the giants like Barca or Real will come in for him - its seems inevitable they will coming knocking at some point. He is so good.

Of course they'll want him. They'll be told to fuck off though. Or give us Messi or Ronaldo in exchange, plus £100 billion.
