You really think so? at a quick glance this is the latest poll I can find and yes a lot has happened in that year and a bit but I wager despite all that his ratings have changed little.

No it didn't. When the crash happened it was slightly lower than it was when Blair came to power.Government spending as a % of GDP went through the roof under New Labour. Not much less than ‘Old Labour’ in the 70s at its peak.

Well considering your last sentence that says little for him even were it true,but it isn't.Of course. Given the right air time and publicity he'd slam it.
To be honest though that isn't saying much. There's a half eaten chicken drumstick next to me that could stand against May and Corbyn and probably win a decent share of the votes
