Too many games are damaging players

When the Ballon d’Or winner is getting up on the podium on crutches you’ve got a pretty powerful image the authorities have to work their arses off to ignore.

Shouldn't imagine that they gave it a second thought.

Greed is king and more competitions provide that for the sporting authorities.

Fuck the effect on players, teams, levels reducing as a consequence of fatgue, increased injuries etc, etc, etc

The players and their careers are seen as expendable in the whole scheme of things.

Such fucking short-sightedness but no doubt encouraged by club chairmen and others , who are so invested in how much money they can extract.

And it's not only the greedy self-serving cunts of the PL cabal I suspect.

Forget scrapping this competition or that competition.
The first step (which is impossible to do) is stop the 'war' between Uefa and FIFA.
Both want more of the market as it means more money.
This summers World Club competition will happen - why?
The World Cup has increased the number of teams taking part - why ?
The World Cup WILL be given to Saudi - why?
Uefa will continue to increase the number of teams in the European international list, San Marino and that place tucked between France and Spain have always been included, fuck knows why, but now Gibralter - why.

Keep the league cup and keep 20 teams in the PL. Cut back on all the rest, except they won't because of greed.

Whatever the issues are, I don’t see the smaller countries and overseas territories of the world being the problem.

Why shouldn’t they be able to play international football as well? There’s a thread on the FA Cup where people are claiming that the early rounds with all the amateur teams are what makes the competition what it is.

For all the derision it gets from fans of the bigger countries, The Nations League is actually a really good competition further down the ladder. It gives the smaller countries a chance to play real competitive matches for the first time really. San Marino recently won their first ever competitive match.

I don’t think we should be looking at restricting those countries as an answer to our problems.

The fa cup format has not changed and it's great smaller clubs get the chance to meet the big clubs in the 3rd round. As long as the format stays the same who can complain.
My point is the world cup is getting bigger, the Euros has. (or will)
Uefa and FIFA are too greedy. Keep the same format and nobody has a problem, but they won't. More matches more money.
The Club World Cup is wrong and that's just for starters.
