The Vegas Elvis is the easy one for the 'tribute' acts...not many attempt the 68' black leather comeback special.
At his peak...both vocally and playing guitar.
I didn't post a top 10 this time...but Elvis woulda been No 1...( Little Richard top 5!

Even for someone who shies away from the pure mechanics of “vocal talent” or instrumental talent when combining lists like this (it’s “favourite”, not “best at”), I struggle to understand how anyone could pick a Beatle as a “favourite” singer.

I figure one of the points of their popularity was that they didn’t NEED to have the sheer ability and performance talent of Frank Sinatra or Yehudi Menuhin to make incredible music, because they were such great songwriters.

Agreed as singers they pale into insignificance when compared to the likes of DLR for example and they would admit it themselves so I guess that makes them good judges of singing ability (LOL).

and now I can see I was the only one who voted for Ray Charles...to borrow from Chabal earlier in the thread and to add a few words of my own.... you absolutely tone deaf bunch of fucking Philistines :-)
