Top 105 Guitarists - The Winner page 33

Im a big fan of the Stones, and Jones may have been different, but what always amazes (amuses) me about the Stones is how "rubbish" they are as guitarists....yet they sound SOOOO good
Other musicians who were on the scene when the Stones started, such as Ginger Baker and Alexis Korner, have said that Jones and Watts were the major musical talents in the band at that time.

Jones had a huge range of instruments played.

Love Free and Bad Company hence Paul Kossoff and Mick Ralphs were both in my list.
Ralphs is a pretty average guitarist but wrote some great music (and this is not a poll about technical ability etc).

Kossoff is a great guitarist, one of a number that I really like but didn't make my 10.

Mick Taylor is the best guitarist to feature in the Stones. Ronnie Wood can actually play a bit and Keith is the best rhythm guitarist ever.

The more I think about it the more I think I was mind numbingly stupid to not put Richard Thompson in my list. Well done to the two who did.
