Top 4 Predictions next season !

Utd will struggle if they get into the Champions League. They had a big advantage this season without European football and still only got 70 points which is way less than what Arsenal got in 4th spot last season. In 2013/14 that would have seen them 6th.

Everyone assumes they will strengthen again but they'll have to spend to stand still: spine of team: De Gea, Carrick and RVP need to be replaced, and they need 1 or even 2 central defenders. That's an amazing amount of engineering. LVG has the most difficult job of the top 4 managers given what he spent last Summer.

But who would take their place? Spurs are the closest and still a long way off

Agree with that. Van Gaal admitted yesterday that who they bring in will greatly depend on who they can offload, so they could have quite a few problems.

If the managerial situation doesn't change, I'd say:

Chelsea
Arsenal
United
City

If you hire a better manager I could see you competing with Chelsea and probably coming 2nd, but with Pellegrini in charge I don't think you'll get the best out of the current crop of players (plus his signings haven't been anything to write home about imo).

you honestly think we`ll finish 4th????? do you think we will have the same squad??

No I think you'll spend money but the others will as well. Right now I see Chelsea having the best team and best manager so I think they'll come 1st. Imo Arsenal, United, and City are pretty close in terms of quality of players and I think that will still be the case after the transfer window, so my ranking is based on what I think is the quality of the managers. That's why I said with someone like Klopp or Ancelotti you'd finish 1st or 2nd, but I don't think Pellegrini is good enough.

Mangala and Bony looked very good in the closing weeks, unfortunately we haven't been able to put Aguero and Bony together but Bony has looked awesome when he's come on. His touch is immaculate. Instant control. I'd have played Bony and Aguero together and replaced Toure with Milner in a central midfield role, but Pellegrini doesn't change City's team at all.

The problem is filling Toure's shoes. He's half the player he was. If we can sell him and replace him then we'll be very very strong. If not we could struggle. I think Pellegrini and the club know the problem, but whether we can get a top midfielder in is questionable. There aren't many

Same top two and same third & fourth.

Too hard to decide if we'll be ahead of Chelsea and if Arse will hold off the rags yet but If I was putting a pound on......

City
Chelsea
Arse
Rags
Soton if they keep their squad getting fifth.

Chelsea got lucky with injuries - Terry played the whole season and Hazard played a lot of games. Take Hazard out of Chelsea and they would be nothing. I don't think they are that good. If Mourinho thought his team was the best, he wouldn't send them out to defend against rivals

City have one glaring hole: Toure so I think we can solve that in the transfer market. What annoyed me about Pellegrini was that it took him until march to drop Toure and Kompany. We had the players like Demichelis, Kompany, Zabaleta, Milner all who could have done a temporary job in midfield but we kept on playing Toure who wasn't interested.

Laughable.

Very apt username btw.

Hate to be a Debbie downer but it will be the same order as this year.

Depending on our summer business we might keep it tighter than this year and we'll probably do better in the cups.

Maurine just knows how to win the league by being flat track bullies and the cowering against the big teams and parking the bus. This season and last season MP has a poor record against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. We'd need to overcome those teams to win the title again.
