We'll be playing all the big boys away except for Chelsea.
Is a win needed at these places or can we afford drawing?
If we beat Chelsea at home, and draw all the away games we will have 18 points from the home games, and 6 from the away games, 24 from 12 games, the rest will have taken a maximum 1 point from us, except Chelsea 3, of course its good enough, but better to win a couple as well, which we will imho.

24 points from this 7 team mini league will win the mini league, and more than likely the PL as well, unless we slip up in some daft games at home.

8 wins out of our 9 home games and 5 wins out of our 10 aways would see us on 84 points.thats got to be a realistic target that should clinch it
Just to nitpick it only gives us 80 points, probably not quite enough.
Yes sorry 80.still think itl be won with between 75 and 80 IMO

Wow, we got it tough to be Premier League Champions.
You can look at it that way, but if we draw them alll away and win the home game we'll be champions, as the most any of them will take from us is Chelsea 3 points, the rest will have 1 at best.

On the away games I'm quite optimistic we'll win at least 2 of them, and draw a couple, that would give us 18 home points, and 8 away, 26 points from 12 matches, and crucially top of this mini league imho.

gonna be close.

You could look at it this way, that we've had a new manager, new players, a learning curve, players and manager learning together, we've now just started to hit our stride, started to eradicate silly away losses and are now just 1 point off the top.
We will have to take on the big boys , on their own turf, and win some of these encounters if we are going to win the title, we can't rely on just our home form

Probably captured above but my view is that, whilst it looks a bit scary, I'm not sure we have to do that much different in the second half of the season.

We are away to all the big teams which must mean we have easier fixtures at home. As we are currently 100% at home, there is no reason to suggest this will not continue leaving us looking for 4/5 away wins for title winning 84/86 points.

Thing is, you can never read into the fixtures too much. An away game to a relegation candidate is a totally different game in October than when they are starring down the barrel in April.

Also, as we know only too well, when you are out there at the front with the title in touching distance funny things can start to happen where you can end up beating yourself.

Playing the bigger sides away gives us the opportunity to work on the counter and I can only surmise that there is not much point in worrying any further than the next game.

This time last season we were 7 points behind the rags, now we're 7 ahead of them. It's good to be in the mix this time around and we're in for an exciting last few months of the season!

Spot on

There's one difference.

All the top teams at home will come at us. They will leave gaps that we can exploit and catch them on the break.

With a full side including Sergio when he's fit, there isn't a team I'm scared off.

Our two hardest tests will be at Arsenal and Liverpool.

The rest, including Spurs, United, and Everton don't bother me.

And don't forget, we've only 1 hard home game left(Chelsea), and we haven't lost a single hard game yet. How many hard home games have the other 7 teams got?

Liverpool 5
Arsenal 2(with 4 hard away games remaining)
Chelsea 4
United 3
Spurs 3
Everton 3
City 1

Meaning all of them have had easier home games than us up to now. So something has to give with their home games, while we've won all our home games. We have a much easier home run in than all those other teams.

Chelsea is on the 3rd of Feb, 4 days after Spurs away. Win both of them and.........
