Anyone know this: if Liverpool win Europa League, and we finished fourth in the league but did not win the CL, would we still qualify for next season's CL qualifiers?
Ok, thank you for being so helpful.Just checked and you're right but the rules have changed since then and we can definitely get 5 teams in the CL now if the winner is outside the top 4.

Pervert. You are right mate, however, we'd get 5 teams in, if we finished out of the top 4 and won it though.

Taken from SkySports...
UEFA rules stipulate that each association can have a maximum of five clubs in the Champions League for the 2016/17 season, meaning if Manchester City win this season's competition and Liverpool win the Europa League, the fourth-place side will have to drop out, provided Manchester City and Liverpool do not finish in the top four.

Pervert.
Yes. One country can have a maximum of 5 CL entrants.Anyone know this: if Liverpool win Europa League, and we finished fourth in the league but did not win the CL, would we still qualify for next season's CL qualifiers?
I know bud. It's not in my make up to make a choice though. I'm not letting it enter my thinking.Be careful with over confidence. See what happened last night between Hart and Fernando. This is City .
Kind of agree we won't win it but the question is a final versus 4th. It has to be final all day long. Not sure we will be serious contenders in Pep first year anyway and even if he is a success domestically it's not an easy final to reach. I think a chance to win a CL trophy is rare and I for one would love to get there this year. If we can take care of PSG next Tuesday that dream is still alive and remember all of the big boys have work to do in the second leg so we just might have a chance. Dream on!!We ain't winning the CL under pellegrini (even if we were to fluke it to the final), but we can under Pep, so top 4
