Tories win Copeland b-election.

Not Labour, but Charlotte Lesley is the hottest MP by a country mile. And brainy as fuck - Balliol College Oxford, no less. Oh, and she drinks pints. Does it get any better than this???

Very attractive, unfortunately she looks as is she's got a bigger dick than me.

Tories win Salford Kersal council election Thursday 2nd March
Tories 42%
Labour 27.3%
Jeremy what have you done?

Labour are dead in the water until they get rid of Corbyn, he makes Michael Foot look like the greatest Labour leader in history..!
Anyone who's dipped their wick in Diane Abbott deserves every molecule of derision they get... Poor twat..!

What was she like when she was younger?
Never seen a photo of her in her 20s etc

Shock win for the Tories in the Kersal ward council by-election in Salford yesterday. The issue there is the new Salford City ground expansion, which the Labour council waved through despite huge local objections, plus it's heavily Jewish and the new Tory councillor is actually a rabbi. Plus he's a rag to boot.

Have they? Incumbent governments never win these, and together with Copeland it must be
glaringly obvious to even the most rabid of Corbyn's acolytes that the scruffy get needs ousting.
How they're going to do it after the £3 a pop fiasco is a real problem though.

Dont know the make up of Salfords ethnicity but always thought you could pin a labour rosette on the rear end of a donkey and it would win there

Sorry - didn't see your post first time. The ward is about 40% Jewish and Arnold Saunders, the Tory candidate, is a rabbi and well-known figure in the community. So that helped, particularly alongside Corbyn's perceived failure to deal with anti-semitism among some party members. Personally I'm not at all sure it's a major problem (the Tories and Lib-Dems are at least as bad, if not a great deal worse) but perceptions count. It's a mixed ward with one area of real deprivation but others that are quite comfortable (our kid lives there on a nice private estate) so it's not necessarily a safe Labour seat but it really should be.

However the big local issue is, as I said, the Salford City ground expansion. That's going from a stadium that holds a few hundred to one able to cope with about 5,000 on a match-day. It's bad enough around there now when they have a big game on as there's only one road that runs past the stadium, it's not wide and there's few places to park. Across the road is an open area comprising Kersal Moor and Prestwich Golf Club so the worry is they'll concrete over this area for parking eventually. An Independent candidate stood on the Salford City issue and he seems to have taken most of the votes from Labour, as they control Salford council and passed the plans despite a huge wave of objections from local residents. So Labour were damned on two counts but still a bit of a shock.
