I worked for a mate on his campsite during the 1999 total eclipse in Cornwall, and he made a shitload of money.It was crazy here in 2017, people were renting RV spaces in fields all over the Valley, some people made out pretty good, some lost a ton of money on crazy money making schemes that never panned out
The only thing that spoilt is was the very overcast day.
The darkness at the time of totality was eerie, though.

Sounds right, we went and stood out in the middle of a field with Mountains around us, cool when you can finally look at it directlyI think something like four minutes+ .

I was in Wales in August 1999 and it wasn’t a total eclipse but wasn’t far off,as you say it was quite eerie and after it loads of flies and insects about for some reason..I worked for a mate on his campsite during the 1999 total eclipse in Cornwall, and he made a shitload of money.

I vaguely remember a big deal made out of one years ago, maybe sometime in the 90's. I was at work and remember being in a butty shop when it went a bit dark outside for a few mins. Awesome..

Sky news are running a programme tonight Monday I think it’s on at 9pm? night time the only option for me is to view the eclipse on TV, I’ll definitely watch it Providing I remember the time :) I’ve missed lots of space launches in the past :(
