What I don't understand is if the NFL weren't happy with the state of the pitch BEFORE they started playing then WHY is the pitch so bad anyway. Surely the groundstaff are good enough to keep the pitch to a suitable standard.

The pitch isn’t ideal but both teams have to play on it so I’m not worried to much. Hopefully Kdb to start and maybe Leroy also. Be a tough game but hopefully a City win.

Did they complain before the game? I thought they complained after it. The issue being that the way that daft sport works is continully going back to the same place in the middle of the pitch which had no grass on it because of the boxing a few weeks earlier. As a result the middle of the pitch ended up mangled during the game.

I've seen this claim a number of times on this thread but it's simply not true. Rochdale laid a new pitch because they wanted it, not because Spurs insisted on it. It was entirely Rochdale's decision.
