I'd imagine it has far more to do with the fact that the NFL booked that fixture in ages ago, while Spurs just fucked up their actual stadium so went begging to Wembley desperate for them to squeeze them in, otherwise they'd have to embarrassingly forfeit the fixture.
I’m sure you are right mate but as a rule, When Wembley and the FA are concerned, money is usually the overriding factor.

Seen better pitches down the park FFS. I am assuming ref will inspect it to make sure playable, if it is we will just have to get on with it. Spuds will have the same problems as ourselves.

Can't wait for this game for City to re-announce their PL dominance after playing so called "Lesser Sides" for what seems like an eternity. A performance on par with that away in the CL like last week would do my Tuesday morning a world of good :)

Mike Summerbee is splitting his sides at that comment ;-)

I assume the Wembley ground staff will fill in any divots and roll the pitch. I'm sure it will be short on grass and not our ideal surface but it should be flat and firm.

I've seen this claim a number of times on this thread but it's simply not true. Rochdale laid a new pitch because they wanted it, not because Spurs insisted on it. It was entirely Rochdale's decision.
I heard pundits saying exactly that, they were shoved into it

Could be worse...
