Tottenham are better than us.

Belive it or not I do feel sorry for you City fans.

The fair play rules are great for football and the supporters but they are really coming at a bad time for you.

Enjoy it while it lasts my friends, and if you don't finish top 4 this year (you wont) then I don't think you'll ever catch Utd.

You'll never be able to compete with the revenues they generate so when the FFP come in it will be bye bye for yous.

Just like you'll never catch Arsenal, the only reason you guys want a 60,000 seater, something you'll never fill, is because Arsenal have one and are light years a head of you in revenue terms, not to better your own club, but simply to keep up with Arsenal. Do you honestly think a club like Spurs can go and build a £300m seater stadium with a lot of the money borrowed and not be affected by the rules.

I think your the deluded one around here.

And your funny spouting about the size of clubs, last time I checked we've both won the same amount of league titles and have always had pretty much the same attendances as each other, whilst both underachieving in the Premier League era, get of your high horse.

I dunno, I don't work for Sport+Markt.

Perhaps you should find out how they compiled this data and only then can you attempt to refute it.

Seeing as they are arguably the most reputable market research firm in global sports and you are random football fan on the internet #345,002,122 - guess who the burden of proof really falls upon?

Lol 'the burden of proof', that's almost as funny as supporters in Africa generating revenue lol.

Chelsea continue to fail to sell out every one of their Champs League home games, if what you were saying is true then you wouldn't be able to get a ticket for love nor money.

Two other clubs in London who haven't had their success but are traditionally a bigger club than them are moving to bigger stadiums, why is that?

Because the organic size of a club can not be manipulated by money, you can have the biggest wallet with the best players on the biggest wages but the size of the club fluctuates very little.

The fear is strong in this one.

We have plans to deal with it, and if we don't why should it worry you. As I said before you're a WUM and a cnut, I'll now add to that,.. you're a smug arrogant know nowt who sees that your day in the sun will soon end and is thrashing about in desperation knowing that the one hope of catching your superior neighbours is going to be snatched away from you by some upstart club that doesn't know its' place. Tough titty, Dickhead.

Can someone please ban this clown, he's really beginning to irritate.

Truth hurts does it dearie?

As shown by your previous factually incorrect posts, you wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit you on your pox ridden arse. You're irritating, not hurtful, how can your threatening us with the FFP and jibes at us being a small club hurt, we didn't care what you thought before the takeover and we care even less now. Your attempts at being hurtful are ill informed and pathetic, you're very much like a rag and should take a long hard look at yourself but at least they have something to crow about. Keep thrashing and keep reinforcing why so many dislike you.

Spurs aren't that much bigger than City historically, we're very similar but we have very loyal supporters with often very deep pockets.

That will serve us well in the long run and when we get a new stadium we will be well on our way to catching Arsenal.

-- Mon Nov 29, 2010 2:38 pm --

Lloydie you really seem upset dear, was it something I said?

I'm off now I just have a few words of wisdom for some of those who haven't seen daylight in a number of days and those who have been left fragile and, somewhat strange after years of being arse raped by Man Utd; Do not hold on too dearly to your owners wealth, it his and not yours after all, you have done nothing to earn it and when the FFP rules come in it will disappear as quickly as it arrived. When that happens I fear a lot, if not all of you are going to left feeling pretty empty, to avoid that I suggest you try and remember what first attracted you to football and your team, I'm guessing back then it was more than just money.

Good luck for the rest of the season and the future.

You honestly couldn't be more wrong about Sheikh Mansour doing one because of FFFP. Come back again soon if you have a free weekend and just read through our Vegas thread, our owner is here to stay. He's not an investor who wants to see a return for his money invested and then he'll be off. He owns us 100%, he is MCFC and MCFC is him. He is here to raise his the ADUG name and all that comes with it: oil, airlines, F1, building redevelopment etc; and what better way to gain a good reputation in all his businesses for his and future generartions of his family to be financially well off, by coming to the biggest sporting league in the biggest sport on Earth and transforming a dormant once great club back to the top? Everyone will want a bit of him, and doing one when the going gets tough does not fit that bill one bit!

Lloydie you really seem upset dear, was it something I said?

95% of your supporters are Black Cab drivers. That's an actual fact.

The other 5% are currently out of work.

I think the poor sod genuinely believes the FFP rules will City implode. Excellent. The more bitter rivals that think this, and the more fervently they're convinced of it - the better. :)

'Cos we already know, or all-but-know, how they will be left feeling.

You never write off Sheikh Mansour. You'd be foolhardy to even mildly bet against him..

They were better last season, but the last time I checked there are 23 games left in this one.

We'll see who stands where when its all said and done. Also IIRC (and I do) we slapped Liverpool at ours while Spurs needed an injury time winner.

It's ill informed comments like these that annoy me. As a fan of another club you've no idea what our plans are to deal with the FFP rules, or the plans afoot to develop Manchester City Football Club. We, as fans, have far more idea, but even we don't claim to fully understand the technicalities and the overall plan.

One thing that's clear is that the Sheikh isn't going to sell up and leave on a whim, he's here for the long haul, and his plans demonstrate this. What's also clear is the Sheikh can afford the BEST when it comes to lawyers, financial advisers etc etc etc, to assume we're just spending money freely with absolutely no idea how we'll fit within the FFP rules when they come in is naive at best. We've got a plan, we've assessed the rules, and the club, and we've come up with a method of meeting the rules. Certain goals will need to be achieved, Champion's League qualification, Trophy wins etc to bring in prize money revenue. Certain infrastructure around the ground will need to be built to utilise other revenue streams. Also the current spending levels won't continue, we won't spend £100m on players every year. We needed to in order to strengthen the entire squad, now we have that strength, we can sign a few players, and sell a few players, and this will keep transfer fees and wages more in line.
