Tottenham are better than us.

You are well placed to compete for many years to c ome? Don't be so confident. All clubs are one bad owner from financial meltdown.

As for the income your club generates, it is inevitable we will struggle to match what you generate because you are based near to London. Is it fair that clubs should benefit financially purely because of geography?

Yes it is fair, and when the FFP come in revenue will be what's important.

On that front you are not a big club and will have trouble competing imo.

The Russian has shown at Chelsea that even with years of success it is impossible to expand the size of a club beyond it's natural state.

The fear is strong in this one.

We have plans to deal with it, and if we don't why should it worry you. As I said before you're a WUM and a cnut, I'll now add to that,.. you're a smug arrogant know nowt who sees that your day in the sun will soon end and is thrashing about in desperation knowing that the one hope of catching your superior neighbours is going to be snatched away from you by some upstart club that doesn't know its' place. Tough titty, Dickhead.

Can someone please ban this clown, he's really beginning to irritate.

Is there any wonder we can't stand Spurs with tits like this invading our board with a tiny bit of knowledge. It's obvious lads that he finds us a threat, why else would he of done his research into Platini's fair play ruling??

But let's get one thing straight Mr Manolo, ADUG (that's our owners collective name) will have their top leading lawyers working on solutions, loop holes, human rights and European rulings to bypass certain rules...And I'm not talking about Harry's sort of lawyers neither, NO brown envelopes here!!! LOL

Oh just to add that Platini and force have already been shown the Royal treatment by the Sheik about four months ago and it's believed that they have built a good relationship.

And then there's the Sheik Mansour's investment around our ground....A cool one billion has been talked about, investment that will raise capital. It's not all about bums on seats buddy.

....All in all if your relying on the fair play ruling to stop ADUG then I have a sneaky feeling your going to be in for a long wait.

Now next time you come on bluemoon do yourself a favour and read up about ADUG first, Schoolboy error really.....we're not really laughing at you honest.

ha ha ha ha

You don't get it do you?

The only club who wouldn't be in favour of these sensible rulings is your half-arsed outfit. If you do want to challenge it then feel free, only you'll have to find yourselves another european competition to play in besides the Champions League because UEFA run the Champions League and what they say goes.

I can't believe you've deluded yourselves into thinking you can get around this.

Enjoy it while it last my friends, without the prospect of Champs league Eastlands will be back to the wash of blue seats it was before the Arab's turned up.

Come on admit it. You've just found out your missus is getting properly cockereld by a blue.

Bullshit, how much revenue do you think supporters in Africa generate?

Think about that for a second.

If Chelsea are the fourth best supported team in Europe (pmsl) then why do they continue to fail to sell out their Champs League home games?

If Chelsea are the fourth best supported team in Europe(pmsl) then why is it Spurs and West Ham who are moving to new stadiums but not Chelsea with their huge support and financial backing?

I dunno, I don't work for Sport+Markt.

Perhaps you should find out how they compiled this data and only then can you attempt to refute it.

Seeing as they are arguably the most reputable market research firm in global sports and you are random football fan on the internet #345,002,122 - guess who the burden of proof really falls upon?

Lol 'the burden of proof', that's almost as funny as supporters in Africa generating revenue lol.

Chelsea continue to fail to sell out every one of their Champs League home games, if what you were saying is true then you wouldn't be able to get a ticket for love nor money.

Two other clubs in London who haven't had their success but are traditionally a bigger club than them are moving to bigger stadiums, why is that?

Because the organic size of a club can not be manipulated by money, you can have the biggest wallet with the best players on the biggest wages but the size of the club fluctuates very little.

-- Mon Nov 29, 2010 2:16 pm --

Truth hurts does it dearie?

Interesting to compare Spurs & City's line ups for the first match of the 2008/09 season, just before our takeover and just before Harry became manager of Spurs.

City: Hart, Corluka, Ben Haim, Richards, Garrido, Etuhu, Johnson (M), Fernandes, Petrov, Elano, Evans

Spurs: Gomes, Zokoro, Woodgate, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Modric, Jenas, Bentley, Dos Santos, Bent

HR derserves credit for lifting Spurs from near the bottom of the table and their subsequent progress but it does seem to me that they were in a very false position when he became manager and they had a strong nucleus of players on which to build. I'd say that we've progressed from a lower starting point.

Chelsea are cited as the fourth best supported club in Europe by, as sources go, one of the most reputable around - the German sport market research firm Sport+Markt.

They are also pretty huge in Africa.

They are now an establishment club and by most meaningful measures a bigger one than Spurs.

In short, they have done exactly what you've just said they haven't done, and they've done it consummately well.

Bullshit, how much revenue do you think supporters in Africa generate?

Spurs are in the shit. The funding for even a moderate increase in capacity at white shite drain, isn't there. The funding for the new stadium mark, 1, 2, 3, or 4 isn't there. Thats why you're clubs trying to slime ball into the olympic stadium, because its the only realistic way you can afford to increase you're support (we've got 33,000 waiting for a season ticket, but 10,000 of those already go ) and remain capable of buying the replacement centre halfs and new centre forwards you will need. Sadly, or hopefully rightly, west ham will get the olympic stadium. Why didn't you come on here after the Wigan, West Ham, or Bolton games?

Some people on here need to grow up a bit. Harry will be twitching like a fukcing rattlesnake if he reads this thread.

Yeah the size of Liverpool as a club was not much different in 1965 to 1985. Jesus H Christ. For the first c.60 years of their history Man Utd were not even the biggest club in Manchester.

I never said that fans in Africa necessarily generate a lot of revenue. It just shows that club has grown in stature and fanbase across the world.

I'm not a Chelsea fan so it's not my job to argue their corner, but if I were to stake my own money on it I'd wager they are vastly better supported than Tottenham in more affluent markets like the US, Australasia, Europe (evidently) and Asia too.

Maybe they haven't monetised that fully yet, who knows.

I'm off now I just have a few words of wisdom for some of those who haven't seen daylight in a number of days and those who have been left fragile and, somewhat strange after years of being arse raped by Man Utd; Do not hold on too dearly to your owners wealth, it his and not yours after all, you have done nothing to earn it and when the FFP rules come in it will disappear as quickly as it arrived. When that happens I fear a lot, if not all of you are going to left feeling pretty empty, to avoid that I suggest you try and remember what first attracted you to football and your team, I'm guessing back then it was more than just money.

Good luck for the rest of the season and the future.

Yes worldwde you will see more Chelsea shirts than Spurs but when it comes to fans in the capital, fans who stump up cash for over-priced tickets, Chelsea are still lagging way behind.
